London Undone

Our illustration for a review of China MiĆ©ville’s young adult novel, Un Lun Dun, which takes place in an upside down, inside out version of London– a place where umbrellas live, meat-eating giraffes run amuck, and fellas sport birdcages and ink bottles for noggins. A place where flags go purple and two schoolgirl heroines make their way through it all. Published in the Feb 3, 2008 issue of the New York Times Book Review for a review penned by Dave Itzkoff. [We especially liked the leaky ink bottle head person we created for the piece.]

Gluekit likes science fiction adventures, and mirror worlds turned inside out.
