Gluekit recently did an illustration for a review of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut at the Met by New York Magazine (review by Justin Davidson). It’s not often we get asked to illustrate classical pieces, and it was fun researching the opera’s plot to come up with a composition that made sense. We liked the metaphorical reading of Manon’s imprisonment, one where she is trapped as much by her greed, lust, and vanity as by cell bars.

Gluekit likes any opportunity to learn something new.
